By T.D. JAKES |
Jakes is a familiar figure to many, hosting a weekly television program on the Trinity
Broadcasting Network and Black Entertainment Television. The New York Times
recently named him one of the nation's most influential ministers, and many
of his books, including Woman, Thou Art Loosed and The Lady, Her Lover, and Her
Lord, have found a wide readership. In The Great Investment, Jakes challenges Christians to hang on to their Christian ideals, yet still build a bridge to those who live less-than-ideal lives. He endeavors to make faith and biblical wisdom accessible and relevant to those both inside and outside the church who are seeking practical help for stabilizing their lives. A lofty goal, and with his large audience, one that will hopefully succeed. -- Cindy Crosby --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title. |

I actually saw this book in a retail store and it sparked my attention. Within 2
days, I read the entire book. I felt like God was speaking to me with each word.
The finance area was an interest to me because I have Christian friends who think
that they have to be poor. That's not what God wants. I no longer feel guilty
for wanting more. In fact, I'm excited because if I do get more, I will be
able to help others more. I am in a situation where I do give as much as I can;
however, I wish I could do more. I'm going to re-read it and begin to apply it
to my life. I have already recommended it to others to read. In the area of Family. I realized that I need to be a participant in solving family issues. In the area of Faith, this book has only increased it even more. Please take the time to read this book. You won't be sorry. The author knows what it is like to be rich and to be poor so he is able to relay the information to others in a way that makes sense. Thank You, T.D. Jakes... It was the first time that I have read your book and I am looking forward in reading your other books. By Mara Kim |
